Haakon Ellingsen is a Norwegian singer songwriter whose focus is pop music. He was a
member of the neopsychedelic pop group “The Last James,” in which he colaborated
with Lars Pedersen of  WHEN and Lars Lillo-Stenberg of De Lillos.  While a part of the
“The Last James” he released the following CDs :
“The Last Dreamer” in 1997 with the band Gramophones and " What Is To Come...?"
in 2004 with the band Sir Haakon & The Popular Musicians. He also released “Minstrel”
in 2001 using the name Haakon, and in 2005 the critically acclaimed " Bounty: 9 Songs
From An Armchair Sailor " using the name Haakon Ellingsen.

The CD "Minstrel" is a bit celtic and the CD "What Is To Come...?" is a Norwegian’s
escape into old-fashioned Britishness. The track “Jenny Kissed Me” from “Minstrel” was
recently remixed by Bal (owner of PBM records).  The CD  "Bounty: 9 Songs From An
Armchair Sailor " examines the concept that both  the sea and distant shores are
derived from a common source.

His new album “The Best Kind Of Ghost" will be released in 2008.
